Muddy Stiletto Awards
Hey! We've got a little spring in our step this week, because we've been nominated for a Muddy Stiletto Award. If you haven't heard about them, then you should get yourself over to www.devon.muddystilettos.co.uk, this wonderful blog is all about the wonderful county we love to call home, and all of the different things you can do, buy, eat or drink. All written in a refreshing and inviting way. We have been nominated for the Best Jewellery category, and we have no idea who nominated us, was it you?!
So with that in mind we thought that we would recommend our favourites for the other categories out there. Share some love, and maybe you might just find the perfect place to stay, or the perfect boutique to buy a Summer frock, or Barista that knows your signature Flat White style. And if you wanted to vote for us, or any of our friends, then we're not going to stop you, so here goes!
Best Cafe: Caffe Esspreso - Castle St, Exeter. We are a bit biased, but they keep us caffeinated, or bring us down off the ceiling with kind words and wondrous cake. Plus they know their way around prime cuts of Pastrami and they make a mean bacon sarnie.
Best Hair Salon: V&M - Little Castle St, Exeter. Again we're keeping it in the Castle street independent quarter, but that doesn't mean that Anita and the team aren't anything but exceptional at what they do.
Best Wine Merchant: Smith's Fabulous Wine and Spirit's - Magdalen Rd, Exeter. We have frequented Iain's den of inequity since our Magdalen Rd days, and we couldn't recommend a nicer person, or a nicer place to buy a bottle or two.
Best Womens Store: Crede - Castle St, Exeter. Back to Pavla we always go, to find that unique piece of clothing that makes us feel extra special. With a keen eye for detail, and a passion for tailoring, she always knows how to make you feel marvellous.
Best Family Attraction: Bicton Park Botanical Gardens - Nr Budleigh Salterton Have you seen the garden's here for yourselves? Its well worth a visit with your family, the Orchid collection and conservatories are our favourite, so many colours patterns and textures. But there also many other things to see and do.
