I appear to have a bit of a clasp obsession.
I find the greatest challenge in my jewellery design (and indeed in all design) is trying to make necessary things beautiful. William Morris said “Have nothing in your house that you do not know to be useful, or believe to be beautiful.” I say, why not aim for both?
The twisted collection has evolved from the tangle pieces that originated in the bubble centric o2 collection. Now, rather than a t-bar I am making pieces that you simply wrap or knot closed. This also allows for length variation.
The image shows a pearl necklace and topaz enhancer where the diamond set clasp mechanism becomes the feature of the piece.
I hope people like it!
